Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joel Mirao (ranked 4584 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Anderson (ranked 4724 p4p, 433 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joel Mirao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mirao, pushing him back against the cage.
Mirao wants to stall.
Mirao is trying to drag Anderson to the mat but Anderson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mirao pulls his leg out and moves away.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Mirao avoids them all with ease.

Anderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mirao's waist but Mirao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anderson off to one side.
It looked like Mirao was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Anderson counters with a nice kick to the body.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Mirao tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mirao manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Anderson keeps the fight on the outside.
Anderson throws a right and a left that Mirao avoids nicely.

Mirao gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mirao walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mirao is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mirao throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily.

Anderson goes for a double leg but Mirao avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mirao continues to drive forward.

Mirao stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mirao wants it to stay on the feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mirao or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson, which made it look bad.
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mirao tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mirao to the ground. Mirao escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joel Mirao will probably get the nod.

Anderson catches Mirao with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Mirao feints a jab promting Anderson to slip. Mirao then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Anderson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
