Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Loze (ranked 4652 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Sanchez (ranked 4548 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez clinches.
Sanchez wants to get back to striking at distance but Loze won't allow it.
Loze keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sanchez's efforts to push away.
Loze tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sanchez avoids it.
Sanchez jumps guard but Loze stands there with Sanchez around his waist. Sanchez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sanchez is trying to break the clinch but Loze has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Sanchez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sanchez is trying to break free.
Loze drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sanchez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loze just leaning against Sanchez, taking a breather.
Loze has Sanchez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Loze pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sanchez tumbling to the mat - Loze dives into Sanchez's guard.
Loze wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.

Loze is standing up over Sanchez. Sanchez looks to escape but Loze dives into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Loze looking to finish Sanchez with some ground and pound. This is bad for Sanchez!
Loze has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanchez is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Loze has taken his back!
Loze is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Sanchez defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loze is riding his opponent, not letting Sanchez buck him off.

Sanchez is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Loze has good solid back control here.
Loze's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanchez avoids the strikes from Loze.

Loze is really struggling to control Sanchez but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Loze is riding his opponent, not letting Sanchez buck him off.
Loze could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sanchez tries to counter with a clinch but Loze shakes him off and moves away.

Loze is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sanchez rolls with it to try and escape but Loze cranks on the arm and Sanchez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
