Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rolf Elvis Alvik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hadley Chadwick!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chadwick with a poor takedown
and Alvik counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Chadwick with a lazy takedown attempt
and Alvik counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chadwick moves out of range as Alvik strikes.
A decent looking cross lands there for Alvik.
Chadwick on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Chadwick fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Alvik avoids it really well and circles away.
Rolf Elvis Alvik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hadley Chadwick.
Chadwick shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alvik's guard.
Alvik pushes Chadwick off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chadwick shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chadwick shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alvik scores with a counter punch that sends Chadwick to the canvas! Alvik smells blood - he's punishing Chadwick with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Chadwick has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rolf Elvis Alvik!
