Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philip Orange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crazy Guy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Crazy Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Philip Orange!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Guy misses.

Orange shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guy's guard.
Orange trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Guy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Orange manages to get himself to full guard.
Guy trying to control but Orange is working from the bottom.
Guy passes Orange's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Guy wants to pass to mount but Orange is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Orange looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Orange is looking to improve his position.
Orange blocking the ground and pound attempt from Guy.
Guy passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guy with the ground and pound from mount.
Orange tries to lock up and control but Guy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Guy is working for a guillotine from mount but Orange frees his head quite easily.

Guy is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Orange is surviving well by controlling Guy's body position as best he can.

Orange defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Guy.
Orange reaches up to try and control the position but Guy seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Orange rolls and tries to escape and now Guy has his back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guy is trying to stick to Orange's back but Orange is turning into Guy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Guy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Orange.

Orange is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guy defends it well.

Orange seems to be looking for submissions.
Orange looks gassed!

Guy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Orange is working away from the top position though.
Guy tries to roll over but Orange keeps him under control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A bone on bone clash there as Guy blocks the leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Guy misses with a head kick.
Orange is looking to clinch.
Orange misses with a looping right.
Guy throws a head kick that misses.

Guy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Orange wants to control from the top but Guy keeps moving.

Orange drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Orange jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Guy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Orange is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Guy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Orange's back instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Crazy Guy will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Guy checks a leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Guy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by Orange or perhaps it was just good defense by Guy which made him look bad.
Guy doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Orange counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Guy trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Guy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guy wants to improve his position but instead Orange has moved into half guard.
Orange missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Guy is looking to control Orange's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Guy avoid being mounted?
Guy tries to roll over but Orange keeps him under control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guy manages to get to full guard.
Orange passes into half guard.

Orange looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Orange takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Orange is looking for a kimura but Guy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Orange to get the leverage.

Guy wants to sweep here but Orange controlling him for the moment.

Guy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Orange should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Guy has tightened it up now! Orange should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Crazy Guy!
