PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Porter (ranked 23227 p4p, 539 weight class) and Ben Tambling (ranked 23224 p4p, 563 weight class). Porter comes into the arena with Cambodia blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tambling tries to keep at a distance but Porter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tambling is looking to break free of the clinch but Porter has double underhooks.

Porter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Tambling regains guard immediately.

Tambling pushes Porter off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Porter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Porter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tambling as he jumps to the side.
Porter takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Tambling fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Porter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Tambling is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Porter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Tambling wants to hit a switch here but Porter passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tambling there!
Tambling tries to lock up and control but Porter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
