PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jab Brown (ranked 1584 p4p, 200 weight class) and Josey Wales (ranked 2407 p4p, 281 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Lützenkirchen - German Kiss . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Josey Wales was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Jab Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Josey Wales!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wales looks to land a left hand but Brown moved out of range nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wales, as that shot connected.
The fighters circling - Wales throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brown appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wales's waist but Wales gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side.
Wales rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Brown counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Wales has his feet on Brown's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Brown has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Wales manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wales might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wales enables Brown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wales manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wales manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Wales has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
