Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Solis (ranked 2722 p4p, 328 weight class) and Bayden Wood (ranked 3299 p4p, 375 weight class). Bayden Wood has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marco Solis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bayden Wood!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Solis.
Solis takes one on the button.
Wood with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Wood drives through and clinches with Solis against the cage.
Solis has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wood with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Solis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wood walks away with a smile on his face. Solis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Solis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Solis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wood's half guard.

Solis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Solis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wood has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Iron mikes mma. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Wood is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Solis jumps into side control!

Solis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wood defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Solis lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Wood hold on?!

Solis is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Wood with him. Wood is trying to defend but Solis has an arm under the chin now! Wood grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marco Solis!
Marco Solis spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
