The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen tries to clinch
and Diamandi counters with a single leg into guard. Chen didn't expect that.
Chen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Diamandi dives into side control.
Diamandi works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Chen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chen tries to get out of the position.

Chen is looking to improve his position but Diamandi isn't that keen on the idea.
BOOM! Diamandi connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chen takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Diamandi's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
