The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Targaryen scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Hanzo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hanzo wants it to stay on the feet.
Targaryen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Targaryen goes for a double leg but Hanzo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hanzo continues to drive forward.
Hanzo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Targaryen stuffs the takedown attempt from Hanzo. Hanzo gets slowly back to his feet.
Hanzo throws a looping overhand right but Targaryen ducks down to avoid it.
Targaryen blocks the body kick.

Targaryen closes the distance and clinches.

Targaryen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hanzo goes for a double leg but Targaryen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Targaryen continues to drive forward.

Hanzo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hanzo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Targaryen tries to roll over but Hanzo keeps him under control.
Targaryen is working hard here to advance position.

Targaryen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Hanzo decides to stand up.
Hanzo shoots for a takedown but Targaryen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jon Targaryen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hittori Hanzo.
Targaryen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hanzo.

Hanzo gets tackled into the cage by Targaryen. Targaryen maintains the clinch.

Hanzo pulls guard successfully.

Targaryen is sitting in close to Hanzo's body. Hanzo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Targaryen is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Targaryen is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hanzo.
