Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snorri Aquila (ranked 3805 p4p, 97 weight class) and Sudarshan Yaakov (ranked 4015 p4p, 103 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aquila fails to land the takedown.
Yaakov throws a body punch but Aquila moves out of range.

Yaakov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Aquila manages to get back to half guard.
Aquila tries to roll over but Yaakov keeps him under control.
Yaakov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Aquila knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aquila manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yaakov manages to get himself to full guard.

Yaakov has his foot on Aquila's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aquila works his way back into a safe position though.
Yaakov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aquila. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aquila rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yaakov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Aquila displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Yaakov.

Aquila is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Yaakov dives into side control.
