Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Agus (ranked 24179 p4p, 174 weight class) and Jessie Alejandro (ranked 24181 p4p, 165 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Agus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jessie Alejandro !
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agus misses with a wild combination.

Alejandro looks to land a right hand but Agus moved out of range.
Agus appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Alejandro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Agus is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Alejandro to keep the fight standing.

Agus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alejandro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Agus somewhat.
Alejandro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Agus's waist but Agus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alejandro off to one side.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Alejandro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Agus.
Alejandro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Agus's waist but Agus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alejandro off to one side.
Agus seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Alejandro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Agus swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Roman Agus will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Horrible takedown attempt by Agus or perhaps it was just good defense by Alejandro , which made it look bad.

Alejandro wants to pass the guard but Agus is keeping the position.

Agus wants to sweep but no luck.
Agus keeping moving, preventing Alejandro from controlling successfully.
Agus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Alejandro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Agus looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Agus is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alejandro is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Agus's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Agus's back!

What can Agus do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
I really don't envy Agus right now.

Agus is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roman Agus will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Alejandro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Agus tries to avoid it but Alejandro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Agus to the ground. Agus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Agus dives in for a single leg takedown but Alejandro sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Agus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Agus wants it to stay on the feet.

and Alejandro counters with a left and a right that stings Agus.
Agus shoots in for a takedown but Alejandro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Alejandro avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Alejandro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Agus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Jessie Alejandro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Roman Agus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I would just about give that final round to Jessie Alejandro .
