Roger kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Under Jolly Roger. Sullivan has chosen The Hand of John L. Sullivan as his entrance music. Jolly Roger could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Sullivan's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sullivan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Roger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've been hearing that Roger has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Roger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sullivan is just riding it out for now. Roger eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
