PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Scott Columbus (ranked 15489 p4p, 431 weight class) and Dhabu Vihdonic (ranked 5899 p4p, 400 weight class). Columbus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Blood Of The Kings. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Columbus throws a nice inside leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Vihdonic misses the target.
Columbus wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Columbus.
Columbus cracks Vihdonic with an open hand slap.

Columbus avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Columbus throws a series of punches but Vihdonic avoids them all with ease.

Columbus does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Columbus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vihdonic looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vihdonic throws a lazy right hand but Columbus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Columbus lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vihdonic has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vihdonic and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vihdonic avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Columbus moves away from the strike by Vihdonic.
Columbus lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Columbus dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vihdonic. That did some damage!
Vihdonic walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Columbus was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Some bone on bone action there as Vihdonic checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Columbus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vihdonic throws out the jab.
Columbus is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Vihdonic.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vihdonic swings for the body but Columbus moves out of range.
Vihdonic tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Columbus was well out of range. Poor timing from Vihdonic.
Dhabu Vihdonic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some bone on bone action there as Vihdonic checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A nice side step and Vihdonic releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Columbus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vihdonic.
Good leg kick by Vihdonic there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A combination from Columbus does no damage.

Vihdonic swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Columbus connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Vihdonic's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Vihdonic - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
