The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakocevic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ramirez.
Ramirez fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bakocevic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ramirez sprawls well initially but Bakocevic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bakocevic lands with a punch from half guard.

Bakocevic decides to stand up.
Ramirez tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bakocevic counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ramirez is looking to get back to is feet but Bakocevic passes into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bakocevic has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Bakocevic gets a double leg takedown into Ramirez's guard.
Bakocevic pushes down on Ramirez's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bakocevic content to control rather than advance.
Bakocevic is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ramirez!

Bakocevic is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Bakocevic extends the arm and Ramirez is forced to tap!
