Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mfer Phol (ranked 171 p4p, 21 weight class) and Professor Xe (ranked 344 p4p, 49 weight class). Mfer Phol is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Professor Xe!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phol swings widly with a right hand
and Xe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Phol fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Xe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Phol swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Xe changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
The crowd cheers as Phol lands an impressive looking overhand right. Xe doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Professor Xe has been cut.
Phol has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Xe counters with a shoot takedown. Phol fights it but they end up in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Phol is trying to maintain the position but Xe is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Xe lands a nice short elbow.
Xe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Xe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Phol down.
Xe works to advance to full mount. Phol defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
