The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Correia lunges at assis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by assis's hand.
assis misses with a takedown attempt - Correia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
assis blocks a head kick by Correia .
Correia drops assis with a left and a right! Oh, assis is hurt - Correia dives into side control looking to finish!

assis is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Correia stands up and beckons assis to his feet.
Oh assis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Correia fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt assis.
assis is breathing heavily.

assis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Correia shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. assis takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Correia sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! assis bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
