PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Boco (ranked 20447 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Slaughter (ranked 5909 p4p, 0 weight class). Boco comes to the cage accompanied by Crazy Nights. Slaughter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter - Iron Maiden. Crazy Boco could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Max Slaughter's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Crazy Boco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Slaughter!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boco has closed the distance and engaged Slaughter in a clinch.
A short body shot lands from Slaughter as the two fighters clinch.
A short left from Slaughter.
A frustrated look appears on Boco's face as he tries to break the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Slaughter.
A shot in the inside from Slaughter.
Slaughter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Slaughter pushes Boco back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Boco is breathing heavily.

Slaughter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Slaughter manages to end up in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boco seems a little lost for a moment, as Slaughter dominates the positioning.
Boco tries to buck Slaughter off but Slaughter is having none of it.
Boco is being controlled here.

Slaughter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Slaughter advances to full mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Slaughter looking to control and managing it successfully.

It looks like Slaughter might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Boco is in all sorts of trouble here.
Slaughter content just to control the position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Boco rushes Slaughter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Boco has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Slaughter breaks the clinch.

Slaughter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boco looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Slaughter controls the position from side control.
Boco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Slaughter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Slaughter in side control, just content to control the action for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Slaughter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boco to the ground. Slaughter is now in Boco's guard.
Boco is striking but Slaughter is not phased and passes to half guard.
Slaughter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slaughter works his way into full mount!
Slaughter content just to control the position here.
Slaughter is continuing to stall.
Boco bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Slaughter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boco manages to get himself to full guard.


Boco throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Slaughter escapes and throws Boco's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Slaughter controls the position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Slaughter content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Slaughter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Slaughter lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Slaughter lands a hook to the side of the head.
A frustrated look appears on Boco's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Slaughter creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Boco's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Boco drops to his knees and Slaughter pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Slaughter!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Max Slaughter made sure he mentioned Sully's Bar & Grill, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
