Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Veikko Keskinen!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cubbedge lands a body shot.
Cubbedge tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Keskinen was well out of range. Poor timing from Cubbedge .
Keskinen wants to counter the offense by Cubbedge and move into the clinch position.
Cubbedge looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Cubbedge swats away the attempt to clinch by Keskinen.

Keskinen moves into the clinch successfully.
Keskinen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Keskinen with a knee to the head.


It looks like Bart Cubbedge has been cut.
Keskinen swings wildly with an uppercut but Cubbedge uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cubbedge escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Keskinen misses with a wild body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cubbedge fails with a takedown attempt.
Keskinen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Keskinen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cubbedge manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cubbedge throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Keskinen's waist but Keskinen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cubbedge off to one side.

Cubbedge tries to counter with a takedown but Keskinen is quick to defend against it.

Keskinen moves into the clinch successfully.

Cubbedge 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Keskinen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cubbedge swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cubbedge tightens his grip and picks Keskinen up, before dumping him to the ground. Keskinen manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cubbedge with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Keskinen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Cubbedge seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Keskinen for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Cubbedge lands with a thumping leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Keskinen.

Keskinen wants to counter with a clinch but Cubbedge pushes him away.
Cubbedge looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cubbedge uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Keskinen.
Cubbedge seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Keskinen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Keskinen takes a swing at Cubbedge 's ribcage but misses.
Cubbedge throws a right hand that Keskinen ducks under and follows up with a left that Keskinen also avoids with ease.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cubbedge throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Keskinen.
Keskinen tries to counter with a clinch but Cubbedge shakes him off and moves away.
Keskinen tries to clinch but Cubbedge is having none of it.
Keskinen digs a good body shot into Cubbedge 's ribs.
Cubbedge looks to land a left hand but Keskinen moved out of range nicely.
Cubbedge misses with a takedown attempt - Keskinen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bart Cubbedge will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Keskinen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cubbedge looks to score with a jab to the body but Keskinen is just out of range.

Keskinen rushes Cubbedge and presses him up against the cage.
Keskinen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cubbedge is defending well for now.

Keskinen is pushing Cubbedge up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Cubbedge goes for a takedown in the clinch but Keskinen prevents it.

Cubbedge is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Keskinen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cubbedge .

Cubbedge is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Keskinen defends it well.

Cubbedge is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cubbedge connects with a nice short shot to Keskinen's temple.
Cubbedge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Keskinen won't allow Cubbedge to pass to mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Keskinen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cubbedge is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Keskinen sees it coming and defends easily.
Cubbedge has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Keskinen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cubbedge . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cubbedge throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Keskinen has his hands clasped together but Cubbedge breaks the hold and Keskinen is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Cubbedge !
