Nix shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kaz's guard.
Kaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rose throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Nix connects with a looping right hand.
Nix throws a low kick, looking for Rose's leg but Rose calmly moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Rose misses the target.
Nix throws an off balance right hand
and Nix takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rose stuffs the takedown attempt from Nix. Nix gets slowly back to his feet.
Rose bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rose looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Nix misses with a double jab.
Nix fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Illias Illiadis and Joey Nix. Nix has chosen Gorilla Militia by Bliss n Eso as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Nix moves into the clinch.
