I was talking to Gilas's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Gilas's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Smith creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The fighters circle, before Smith throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Gilas's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Smith lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sanders, as that shot connected.
Sanders works over Gilas's head and body with a nice combination.#CUT#
It looks like Bernz Gilas has been cut.
Sanders misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gilas is looking for the big counter here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sanders.
A little jabbing left from Gilas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Sanders looks to score with a jab to the body but Gilas is just out of range.
Sanders scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gilas doesn't seem bothered though.
Gilas is looking to clinch but Sanders is avoiding it.
