Murphy tests Kannemeyer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kannemeyer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#KD#
Murphy cracks Kannemeyer with a big right hand and Kannemeyer goes down!#ROC#
Kannemeyer is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Murphy postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Kannemeyer covers up, he's hurt! Murphy keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Murphy and the ref steps in to end the fight! Murphy can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brendan Murphy!
An out of breath Brendan Murphy thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
