Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thorn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McConnor dives in and grabs Thorn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thorn pushes down on McConnor's head and hops out.
McConnor's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thorn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McConnor scrambles back to his feet.
Thorn connects with an inside leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Thorn.
Thorn scoring well with a low kick there.
Thorn feints with a jab and clips McConnor right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! McConnor is sent crashing into the canvas and Thorn leaps in for the kill! McConnor tries to get to his feet but Thorn is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that McConnor is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien Thorn!
