Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Haapana as he jumps to the side.
Haapana scores with a sloppy right hand. Jones should have avoided that one.
Jones fails with the takedown
and Haapana counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones's knee momentarily.
Haapana stuffs the takedown.
Haapana steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Jones.

A solid leg kick lands there for Haapana.
Haapana misses with a head kick.
Jones goes for a double leg but Haapana avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Haapana continues to drive forward.
Jones takes one to the side of the head.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haapana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.#CL2#
Haapana clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.#T1#

Haapana pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Haapana throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

The referee calls for Haapana to work.

Haapana gets through Jones's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Haapana pushes off an throws an elbow but Jones leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Haapana lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Jones to his knees! Haapana keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hannu Haapana!
