Marsh shoots in looking for a takedown. Flash tries to sprawl out of it but Marsh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Flash manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Flash unleashes a big counter combination but Marsh bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.#CL2#
Marsh tries to keep at a distance but Flash has taken the fight into the clinch.#TD2#
Flash jumps guard and drags Marsh to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Flash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Marsh seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rick Flash decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Marsh really is a fat lump.
Simmonds lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Simmonds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Simmonds.
Simmonds goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A head kick from Simmonds lands but Marsh takes it in his stride.
Simmonds throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Marsh's head.
Marsh takes a kick to the side of the head.
Marsh shoots in looking for a takedown but Simmonds manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marsh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
This has been an exciting period of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marsh is nestled in close to Simmonds, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Simmonds can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marsh closes the distance and clinches up with Simmonds, looking for a takedown. Marsh pushes Simmonds against the cage but Simmonds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
