Bluethurty rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bluethurty shoots in for a takedown but Easterly shows good takedown defense.
Easterly misses with a looping right.
Bluethurty now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

No joy there for Bluethurty, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bluethurty has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Easterly stuffs the takedown attempt from Bluethurty. Bluethurty gets slowly back to his feet.
Bluethurty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Easterly tries to avoid it but Bluethurty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Easterly to the ground. Easterly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Easterly half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hayden Easterly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Berry Bluethurty.

Stefanov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bluethurty.
Stefanov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bluethurty's head.

And Bluethurty tries to counter it with a takedown but Stefanov pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bluethurty walks straight into a right hand from Stefanov - that's dropped him! Stefanov jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bluethurty from any more punishment! Bluethurty complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
