Iskandar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Avares jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Iskandar cracks Avare with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.#TD#
Avare feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB#

I really don't envy Avare right now.

Iskandar keeps the fight on the outside.

Bastad looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bastad tries for a takedown but Iskandar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Iskandar changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
No luck for Bastad with that takedown attempt.
Iskandar tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bastad fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Bastad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bastad tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Iskandar defends well and Bastad ends up having to push Iskandar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bastad closes the distance and clinches up with Iskandar, looking for a takedown. Bastad pushes Iskandar against the cage but Iskandar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
