It looks like Matt Chabala has been cut.
The Kid missing with a left hand there. Chabala was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chabala lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The Kid takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The Kid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chabala manages to avoid it.
The Kid showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chabala.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Kid chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Chabala can pounce on him.

Chabala is nestled in close to The Kid, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Chabala looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Kid with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Chabala has an Americana. The Kid didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Chabala is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Chabala hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
The Kid lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The Kid bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by The Kid!

Alvarez feinted there with a counter leg kick.
The Kid looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alvarez tries to counter with a takedown but The Kid is quick to defend against it.
Alvarez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
