We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ruttenum has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Austin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brown throws a pinpoint strike between Ruttenum 's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Ruttenum crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Brown scores a great knockout victory!

During a confident post fight interview, Jamaal Brown thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, Conor Ruttenum stepped up to the mic, saying 'He beat me fair and square, just gotta go back and practise now'.

Ruttenum feints and as Diaz raises his hands in defense, Ruttenum changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Diaz controls Ruttenum momentarily but Ruttenum frees himself.
Ruttenum works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Diaz is in trouble now - Ruttenum has advanced to mount!
Diaz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Ruttenum cracks Diaz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Diaz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ruttenum won't let Diaz get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ruttenum working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Diaz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ruttenum off and cradles Diaz's limp body as Ruttenum celebrates with his corner.
