Valesces feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Castillejo sprawling to the canvas! Castillejo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Valesces finish him?! #CUT2#
It looks like Javi Castillejo has been cut.
Castillejo misses with a takedown
and Valesces counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Castillejo out cold! What a finish! Valesces is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

McCullen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Castillejo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Castillejo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
