We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Murphy scores with a hook to the body. Gracie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gracie with a lazy takedown attempt
and Murphy counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gracie looks winded!
Murphy lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.
Gracie closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Murphy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Murphy throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Murphy lands a really nice looking cross but Gracie seems unphased.
Murphy throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Gracie colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Murphy as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Gracie is left battered and dazed whilst Murphy and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DropKick Murphy!
A less than humble DropKick Murphy misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Roach has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #SUB2#
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roach looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roach looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roach! #REVR##SUB#

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie regains full guard. Nicely done.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.

Gracie has an Americana. Fitzgerald didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gracie is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gracie hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
