Demir is looking to slow Nelson down with leg kicks.
Demir dives in for a single leg takedown but Nelson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nelson lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.#TD#
Nelson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nelson lands in his opponent's guard.
Demir has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Nelson has passed into side control.
Nelson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Nelson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Demir knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Demir is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nelson lets go of the hold and Demir can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Khan dives in and scores a takedown into Nelson's guard.
Nelson has Khan pulled in close to control his posture.
Khan trying to control but Nelson is working from the bottom.
Khan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nelson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Khan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Nelson pulls Khan in close to prevent any damage.

Nice takedown defense from Nelson. No joy for Diaz on that attempt.
Diaz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Diaz wants it to stay on the feet.
Diaz wants to counter the offense by Nelson and move into the clinch position.
Diaz has a takedown stuffed.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Diaz.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nelson or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaz, which made it look bad.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diaz as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Haywood Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nelson fails with a takedown attempt.
Nelson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Nelson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nelson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nelson somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Nelson tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nelson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
