We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rush has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ware feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rush sprawling to the canvas! Rush rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ware finish him?! #CUT2#

Marcus Ware seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ware comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rush gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Ware points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Rush wakes up just in time to hear Ware thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Marcus Ware really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Aspire Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

We've been hearing reports that Rush has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
