Winters knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McManus on the ground.
McManus slows the pace down in half guard.
McManus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Winters with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McManus throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Winters was covering up waiting for the punch and McManus finishes the takedown easily into guard.
McManus scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

McManus is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Oh Winters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

McManus stands up over Winters, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
McManus postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Winters covers up, he's hurt! McManus keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from McManus and the ref steps in to end the fight! McManus can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
