Kunwar has his feet on Pete's thighs here. He's pushed Pete off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pete screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The fighters are playing wrist control here with Pete pressed against the cage. Palentine frees himself up and cracks Pete with an uppercut straight from the bowels of hell! Pete crumples to the floor, out cold! Palentine jumps on to the cage and takes in the roar of the crowd! That was nasty!

Pete tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barath just stands there and leans against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pete is trying to escape the position but Barath is controlling the position.

Barath is working to tighten his grip on Pete's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pete has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Barath is really squeezing tight and eventually Pete passes out! Barath breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Pete tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pete tries to clinch there but Cherry circles away.
Cherry shoots in and drives through. Pete sprawls well.
Pete shoots in for a takedown but Cherry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Whack! Pete lands a heavy head kick that drops Cherry. The ref tackles Pete to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Cherry was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Jack Pete!

Pete digs a good body shot into Petersen's ribs.
Pete shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Petersen pinned against the cage. Petersen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A counter left hand to the body from Petersen misses its target.#CL2#
Pete has closed the distance and engaged Petersen in a clinch.
Pete is working for takedown but Petersen is calmly controlling the position for now.
Petersen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pete.
Sidney Petersen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Pete.

Pete must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pete won't allow Petersen to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petersen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Petersen pulls Pete in close to his closed guard and prevents Pete from doing any damage or advancing position.
Petersen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T2#
