We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McClosky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Donaldson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Donaldson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McClosky is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McClosky connects with a nice short shot to Donaldson's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McClosky seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

McClosky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Donaldson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

McClosky cracks Donaldson with a big right hand but Donaldson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Donaldson tries for a takedown but McClosky sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

McClosky loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Donaldson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from McClosky land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. McClosky stands and salutes the crowd.
