Tom fails with the takedown

and Heikkinen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Tom has Heikkinen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Heikkinen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Tom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tom is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Heikkinen to keep the fight standing.

Heikkinen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tom is one step ahead there.

Tom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Heikkinen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tom has managed to get both his arms back between Heikkinen's legs - danger averted.

Tom drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Heikkinen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tom has Heikkinen in his guard.

Oh but Tom is tightening it up a little... Heikkinen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Heikkinen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Heikkinen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tom!

Tom has Asahara pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tom pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Asahara tumbling to the mat - Tom dives into Asahara's guard.

Tom trying to control the position from guard on top but Asahara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tom is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Asahara is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Asahara has escaped and now he's on top!

Asahara is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Asahara pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tom is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Asahara has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tom to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Asahara is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tom pulls down on the head and he's put Asahara to sleep! This one is all over!
