Kaku fails to land the takedown.
Some wild striking there from Petersen.
Kaku swings for the body but Petersen moves out of range.
Petersen lands with an uppercut that bounces Kaku off the cage and back into range.

Kaku tries to close the distance and clinch but Petersen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kaku unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Petersen wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Kaku celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michio Kaku!
Michio Kaku took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Give me more victims to destroy!!!!!! Title fight!!!!!! Bringing home belts to North Korea!! North Korea full of belts as the media says!!!'.

Cline shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Petersen is trying to escape back to his feet but Cline uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Cline wants to control but Petersen is keeping him busy.
Petersen is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petersen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Cline presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Cline really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petersen is working to get back to half guard.

Cline swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Petersen is now in Cline's guard. A big mistake from Cline there, giving up the dominant position!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cline swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Petersen thuds his right hand into Cline's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cline is rocked!
Cline walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Cline limp body while Petersen jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
