Carnevore connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Carnevore lands with a shot to the body.
Roper seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.#CL#
Roper takes the fight into the clinch.
Carnevore misses with a punch on the inside.
Carnevore blocks an uppercut.
Carnevore prevents a body shot from Roper.
Roper lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Roper tries to work over Carnevore's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Roper digs a right hand into Carnevore's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Carnevore's gas tank.
Roper is leaning against Carnevore and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Roper throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carnevores head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roper creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Carnevore with a big uppercut! Carnevore tries to clinch up but Roper pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Carnevore to the mat! Carnevore covers up and Roper unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Brian Roper spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Diaz pushes a forearm under Carnevore's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Carnevore is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Neal Diaz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

Mbaa throws the kick towards the body but Carnevore avoids it.
Carnevore throws a two punch combo that lands nicely. #CUT#
It looks like Jada Mbaa has been cut.
Mbaa has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Mbaa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Carnevore waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mbaa.
Carnevore scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mbaa doesn't seem bothered though.
Carnevore throws a big shot that misses.
Mbaa slips under a jab.
Nice body kick from Mbaa.
Carnevore throws a right hand that misses
and Mbaa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mbaa throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A jab from Carnevore does it's job there.#ROC#
Mbaa is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carnevore weaves into range and cracks Mbaa right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Mbaa goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Carnevore is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ilir Carnevore!

Ilir Carnevore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carnevore loads up on a big right hand but Aoki slips the punch.
Aoki drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.#CL#
Aoki drives through and clinches with Carnevore against the cage.
Aoki is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.#TD#
Aoki has Carnevore pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Aoki pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Carnevore tumbling to the mat - Aoki dives into Carnevore's guard.
Carnevore keeping moving, preventing Aoki from controlling successfully.
Carnevore is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aoki stands and throws Carnevore's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Carnevore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aoki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It looks like Maxwell Phillips has been cut.
Phillips shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carnevore sprawls well. Carnevore wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Phillips gets slowly back to his feet.
Crack! Carnevore connects with the perfect overhand right and Phillips falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Carnevore!

John looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Carnevore thuds his right hand into John's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Carnevore goes for a small jab and connects. Now Carnevore goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! John stumbles back but Carnevore runs in with a huge uppercut knocking John to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if John will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Merdaka's coach down at Helsinki Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Merdaka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Carnevore throws a hook but Merdaka avoids it easily.

Merdaka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carnevore appears to be looking for a big counter.
Merdaka throws out a loose jab but Carnevore uses good head movement to avoid it.
Merdaka takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Merdaka is still on wobbly legs! Can Carnevore finish him?
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Carnevore shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Merdaka takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Carnevore sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Merdaka bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
