Kanagawa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Siesztrzewitowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

letting Kanagawa counter with a right hand.
Siesztrzewitowski lands with a hook. Kanagawa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

enabling Kanagawa to counter with a crisp jab.

Siesztrzewitowski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kanagawa.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Siesztrzewitowski! But no joy.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kanagawa throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Siesztrzewitowski's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Kanagawa dives in looking to finish as Siesztrzewitowski flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Kanagawa's strikes! Kanagawa is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Siesztrzewitowski's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Siesztrzewitowski was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
