We've been told by Karate's head coaches at mickeyharts the greatest that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Karate lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Octavian circles away quickly and effectively.

Karate has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Octavian to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Karate is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Octavian pulls down on the head and he's put Karate to sleep! This one is all over!

The fighters circle, before Karate throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Freitas's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Karate lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

A relieved looking Joey Karate thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Lofmark looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Karate!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karate seems a little lost for a moment, as Lofmark dominates the positioning.
