Merdaka's coach down at Helsinki Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Merdaka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Carnevore throws a hook but Merdaka avoids it easily.
Merdaka fails to land with a series of punches.
Merdaka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carnevore appears to be looking for a big counter.
Merdaka throws out a loose jab but Carnevore uses good head movement to avoid it.
Merdaka takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Merdaka is still on wobbly legs! Can Carnevore finish him?
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Carnevore shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Merdaka takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Carnevore sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Merdaka bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ilir Carnevore really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that FinnFighter Nutrition (Five 160Q supps!) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

Wilder appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Merdaka throws a looping overhand right but Wilder ducks down to avoid it.
Merdaka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wilder sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wilder thinks about countering with a head kick.
Merdaka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Merdaka throws a series of punches but Wilder avoids them all with ease.
Wilder defending well as Merdaka loads up on a big left hand.

A decent looking cross lands there for Wilder.

Merdaka throws a right hand that Takiama ducks under and follows up with a left that Takiama also avoids with ease.
Merdaka throws a right and a left that Takiama avoids nicely.
Takiama has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Takiama showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Merdaka.

Takiama bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Merdaka pushes Takiama away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Takiama gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Takiama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Merdaka, who protects the arm well.

Takiama is working to tighten his grip on Merdaka's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Merdaka has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Takiama is really squeezing tight and eventually Merdaka passes out! Takiama breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

and Cudi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Cudi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cudi showed some decent athleticism there.
Merdaka is looking to escape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Merdaka can do anything to dispel that myth.

XsX has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ellis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Merdaka connects with a stiff jab that staggers Ellis - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Merdaka is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Sherman like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Sherman from another fist facial!
