Horrible takedown attempt by Manmouth or perhaps it was just good defense by Silvio, which made it look bad.
Manmouth throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Silvio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Manmouth gets cracked there but stands up to it.

I was talking to Manmouth's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Silvio digs a right hand underneath Manmouth's ribcage. Manmouth let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Manmouth throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silvio's waist but Silvio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manmouth off to one side.

Wiley is looking to counter with head kicks.
Aliad Manmouth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Manmouth takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wiley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#TD#

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
