Ness shoots for a takedown but Chews saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ness fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lache Ness. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chews displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Chews bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ness's head.
Chews sizes up Ness with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Chews misses with a wild combination.
Ness attempts a counter takedown but Chews avoids it well and moves away.

Ness drops down looking for a counter takedown but Batman sprawls and moves away.
Batman slaps away a takedown attempt from Ness, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ness moves forwards but Batman connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Batman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.#TD#
Ness fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Batman sprawls well initially but Ness persists and gets the takedown into half guard. #SUB#

Ness feints and as Abate raises his hands in defense, Ness changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.#SUB2#
Ness drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Abate manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ness has Abate in his guard.#REVR#
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2#
Ness working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Abate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Abate manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Good leg kick by Abate there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ness or perhaps it was just good defense by Abate, which made it look bad.
Lache Ness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ness is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nebula looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ness gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nebula is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ness lets go of the hold and Nebula can pop his arm back in it's socket.
