Nice takedown defense from Styme. No joy for Smith on that attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Styme. Those never looked like landing.
Smith is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
We've been informed that Styme has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

James fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that James has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Styme throws a combination but it was largely blocked by James.
James is looking for the big counter here.
James lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
