Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Blue Kandle and Wilbur Clemens. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Blue Kandle! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Wilbur Clemens!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Clemens drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kandle looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kandle looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kandle!

Kandle goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Clemens has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kandle but great work by Clemens.

Clemens has hold of Kandle's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kandle seems comfortable defending it but Clemens has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kandle is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kandle is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Clemens couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Webb is rocked!
Webb throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Oh Webb is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Webb thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Kandle gets to his feet and stands over Webb, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Webb felt that one! Kandle unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Webb from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blue Kandle!
A very excited looking Blue Kandle made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Shepherd's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

As Kandle looks to move away, Shepherd throws a big counter combo but Kandle just gets out of the way.

and Shepherd counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Kandle throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Shepherd blocks it with crossed arms.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Aaron Shepherd will probably get the nod.

Shepherd's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Shepherd takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Shepherd seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kandle for as long as he can get away with.
Shepherd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kandle is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Shepherd has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kandle is looking to defend but Shepherd has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kandle! Shepherd pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kandle taps out and this one is all over!

Ramey does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
