Messi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Koscheck moves away.
Messi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Koscheck momentarily.

Messi dropped down on all fours and is barking in Koscheck's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Leonel Messi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Messi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Marionett is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Messi is defending well.

A very excited looking Leonel Messi rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

James closes the distance and clinches up with Messi, looking for a takedown. James pushes Messi against the cage but Messi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from James is defended easily by Messi.
Messi tries to counter by moving into the clinch but James manages to circle out of the way.
Messi jabs James to the body, keeping him at a distance.
James shoots and misses #CL#
and Messi counters by moving into the clinch.
Leonel Messi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy James.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
