Mirage stalks Sturgis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sturgis's face. Sturgis staggers backwards, shaken.#CUT2#

Mirage feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sturgis sprawling to the canvas! Sturgis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mirage finish him?!

Sturgis dives in for a single leg takedown but Sol sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Sturgis throws a right hand that Sol ducks under and follows up with a left that Sol also avoids with ease.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kendrick Carroll.
Well Sturgis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
