and Umtiti counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Rizzuto thuds a left hand into Simmons's body.
Rizzuto works Simmons's body with a nice hook.
Rizzuto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Simmons stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rizzuto scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. #CUT2#

Simmons shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Simmons was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rizzuto is trying to buck Simmons off.

Traylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Simmons wants to control but Traylor is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Shakalu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Simmons is looking for a sweep.
Shakalu in side control, just content to control the action for now.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Let's hope that Shakalu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Shakalu gets to mount! Simmons was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Duke wants to break the clinch but can't.
Duke with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Duke is struggling to control the position.
Simmons is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Simmons jumps guard but Duke turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
