and Cormier makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Brooks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cormier is fending him off so far but Brooks persists. Nope, Cormier circles away and we're back to standing.

Brooks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cormier tries to avoid it but Brooks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cormier to the ground. Cormier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phill Brooks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
