And Khaliev tries to counter it with a takedown but McNee pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Some bone on bone action there as Khaliev checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McNee misses with a body kick.
McNee digs a good hook to Khaliev's body.
JJ McNee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McNee scores with a nice strike.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB2#

Unknown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gripper thuds his right hand into Khaliev's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gripper clobbers Khaliev with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jack Gripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gripper throws out a powerful jab.
Gripper cracks Khaliev with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.#ROC2#

Gripper works Khaliev's body with a nice hook.
Khaliev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gripper finds it's way round the side to connect with Khaliev's head.
Oh Khaliev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
and Gripper counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Khaliev! He's just covering up as Gripper starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Killer reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Killer taps out! Nice BJJ there by Khaliev!

That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
